Titanium Tubing is seeking Medicine Hat-based workers as it expands operations.

On April 27, company representatives conducted interviews for coil tubing operators and supervisors at the Hamptons Hotel and Conference Centre.

Titanium Tubing is expanding their payroll by 100-150 employees as the company has acquired more assets. Experienced operators and supervisors are needed for operations in Lloydminster, Sask. and Kindersley, Sask.

Karen Osadchuk, HSE and Compliance Manager, said the company continues to recruit from Medicine Hat because there is a qualified workforce who is willing to commute. In the past, she has found it difficult to convince Hatters to relocate to the operations sites.

“Our employees enjoy the lifestyle in Medicine Hat,” said Osadchuk, who resides in Calgary. “There’s a lot to do with Cypress Hills nearby and all of the amenities of a large city. In fact, one of my favourite fly fishing spots is near Medicine Hat.”

Established in 2006, Titanium Tubing has grown from one rig to 12 coiled tubing rigs, four body style flameless N2 pumpers and two stand-alone compressor units. The company is registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geologists of Alberta and specializes in light oil shale plays, oil sands operations and pipelines services for clients that include Cenovus Energy.

Osadchuk said the team collected a stack of impressive resumes and was in the process of setting up second interviews with many of the applicants.

Titanium Tubing is currently accepting applications via their website, http://www.titaniumtubing.ca/careers/.
